The Chance MC29 is a high-power, long-endurance autonomous surface vessel engineered to support demanding payloads and extended open-ocean operations. Powered by twin inboard marine diesel engines, the MC-29 delivers precision maneuvering and several kilowatts of continuous power to mission systems, while a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer enhances operational capability in rough seas. Designed with a flexible platform, the vessel accommodates a wide array of sensor payloads including fixed, retractable, towed, and profiling systems through its 2-ft square moon pool and deck-mounted winches and provides integrated topside equipment support via a climate-controlled 19-inch rack. Mast-mounted visual and thermal cameras, radar, and AIS offer 360° situational awareness, and robust connectivity is enabled through Starlink satellite communications and Silvus mesh radio links for remote command, control, and monitoring. Overall, the MC-29 is a mission-ready USV that balances endurance, payload flexibility, and autonomous control for scientific, commercial, and defense applications.
