Janus Marine & Defense was thrilled to attend UMEX 2024, a premier event for showcasing advancements in unmanned systems technology. Our mission at the expo was to engage with global industry leaders, explore cutting-edge innovations, and discuss strategic collaborations. Highlights of the event included the UAE National Guard’s live demonstration of their 11-meter high-speed interceptor USV, designed for the National Guard, Coast Guard, and Naval forces. This impressive vessel, built and operated in the UAE, exemplifies the region’s commitment to advancing autonomous maritime capabilities.
Another standout moment was SpetsTechnoExport’s (STE) display of the Magura V5 Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). This marked the first public showing of the vessel outside of Ukraine, highlighting significant improvements in manufacturing quality and vessel capability. The inclusion of this advanced technology at UMEX reflects Ukraine’s push to bring its military innovations to a global stage. Throughout the event, panels and presentations focused on integrating drone technology into commercial and defense sectors, emphasizing the importance of new market opportunities and investment.
